Suggested Buys; anime and manga!

Suggested [clean] mangas and animes:

(note: I’ll never suggest a yaoi, hentai, or other type of filthy anime/manga to you. I don’t roll that way)

mangas:

-Vampire Knight: I suggest this if you like gothic mangas and want a new read. This looks to be a promising manga.

Animes: (straight from my personal collection and some I’ve yet to buy)

-Fruits basket: Sure the heroine is a bit on the “huh?” side but it’s adorable. GET IT. 9.9/10

-DN Angel: I’d only suggest this if you like cutesy, overly-shojo type stories (aka: typical teen “chick flick” style anime). This can get a bit mushy at times but I still like it. Go Dark Mousie! *squeak!* 8/10

-Tales of Phantasia: (the animation): If you love the videogame you’ll love the anime. It skips a few cool parts *T-T* but overall I think it makes you understand Dhaos’ part a little better. The animation style is superb. Oh and if you haven’t heard of it before, you should probably play the videogame [by namco] first. Regardless… it’s wonderful! 10/10!

-Tales of Symphonia: Is this thing even finished yet? When it’s done get this one if you like Tales of Phantasia. (can’t completely rate since i’ve only seen 1/2 of it .. but so far it gets a 9.8/10)

-Pretear: I honestly just discovered this exactly a week ago… it took me four days until I could no longer resist ordering it from amazon! I can’t wait for it to get here! It’s definitely very shojo-y but i love it. It has a nice & peppy J-pop opening theme [White Destiny]. Typical schoolgirl-saves-day anime but… I’m having a hard time waiting for the darn thing to get here! that’s how well I rate it! Ok I haven’t seen the whole thing yet but I got the ending spoiled so knowing that… 10/10! DON’T VISIT SPOILER SITES JUST GET IT!

-Naruto: They should have up to volume/season 4 available for purchase.. I’ve yet to get these b/c I’m a poor college student and I can’t afford to buy them all right now.. so I’ll have to wait T-T. But anyway, this is an action packed ninja anime… what’s not to love? It’s definitely a Shonen anime but girls can go for it too (even if it’s just to gawk at Sasuke Uchiha &/or Kakashe Hatake). The animation is awesome; perfect blend of computer graphics and animation for the fight scenes! 10/10 plus an extra prop!

If you’re hesitant about putting your money where your “that looks nice” thought is about any of these animes/mangas, I’ll be posting more in-depth reviews of them as soon as I can (For example: I can’t give a full review on Pretear yet b/c I haven’t seen the absolute whole series =(  but I will be posting when I finish… whenever the thing comes in the mail!). Or if you don’t trust me you can check various other sources, such as Shojo Beat magazine [for Vampire Knight especially], the Naruto official website, the Fruits basket official site, and etcetera. However.. don’t spoil all the awesome things these animes have by visiting spoiler sites or watching too many AMV’s on youtube/veoh. Patience pays off when it comes to animes. And don’t read ahead on mangas either it’s just as bad.
