Long time no see: Tethe Alla
Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve posted an update here, it’s been a long year at University. Anyway, I don’t have much time but I thought I would post a quick update on one of my fav. anime/manga/games of all time: Tales of Symphonia.
That’s right guys, the ToS: Tethe Alla side of the anime is finally being released. I got to watch a subbed version of the first ep. a few nights ago and.. well, I’ll just say this review style:
pros: the animation style’s still amazing, and they upped the quality of the battle scenes [yes!]. They skipped a bit of the storyline but still tied things together so that someone who hasn’t played the game or read the manga would know what was going on.
cons: scenes have been massively cut/skipped, and other scenes have been tweaked… for example [this gives nothing away so it's not really a spoiler] they change the scene where Lloyd and the group meet Altessa, speed things up for the Toize Valley mine trip, and take a scene from the Sylvarant side [of the manga/game, anyway] and make it take place in the mine [also with some tweaks].
Well, idk what ep. 2 is going to be like, and we’re right in the middle of the tweaked Toize scene right now, but I’m hoping they don’t screw too many things up =\
Regardless I’ll still watch it and I still love the animation style and am interested in how they’re planning to take the story to the end with their various tweaks and changes to the storyline….. but I’d like it to remain a little closer to the original story [more like how the Sylvarant side did] ;_;
My rating for the anime will come whenever I finish watching it. Stay tuned!!
